He currently serves as a Bilingual Clinical Research Coordinator at the EngAGING Lab and the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center at Rutgers University’s Brain Health Institute/Institute for Health.

Claudio holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a Master of Science in Clinical Research Management from Rutgers University. His research expertise spans oncology, pediatrics, and neurodegenerative diseases, with a growing focus on aging and brain health through the BRAINY-NJ Study, SAMENA study, and recently with the ALA Pilot Study trial at IFH.

Previously, Claudio worked in pediatric clinical trials at the Clinical Research Center at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he ensured regulatory compliance, protocol fidelity, and compassionate, bilingual care for participants and families. He developed standard operating procedures and strengthened recruitment, retention, and community engagement, particularly among Latino populations in the New Brunswick area.

At the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, he pioneered AI-based strategies for improving participant recruitment in oncology studies, contributing to the efficiency and inclusivity of clinical trial enrollment. He now applies this experience to Alzheimer’s and cognitive aging research, promoting diversity in research participation and culturally competent study practices.
