Participants Needed for Alpha Linolenic Acid for Improvement of Cognition- Clinical Trial

The Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) Brain Health Study

This study seeks to recruit adults aged 60 and older who have mild memory concerns or a diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and who carry at least one APOE4 gene, which increases the risk for Alzheimer’s disease. The purpose of this study is to understand whether a plant-based omega-3 nutrient called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) can help support memory, improve brain health, and strengthen the blood–brain barrier.

Study participants will complete a series of assessments related to brain aging. These include surveys, memory and thinking (cognitive) assessments, blood tests, and brain imaging (MRI) at the start of the study and again after six months. Participants will take a daily nutritional supplement (ALA or placebo) for six months. We will compensate you for your time.
