Dr. Niraj Patel is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Alzheimer’s Research Center at Rutgers University. His research focuses on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) using human iPSC-derived neural models to investigate disease mechanisms, genetic risk factors, and resilience pathways. His work integrates stem cell biology, genome engineering, functional imaging, and molecular approaches to develop human cellular models to understand disease risk and to develop new therapeutic strategies, with a particular emphasis on South Asian populations.
