The Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center and the Brain Modulation & Control Lab at BHI, seek a Postdoctoral Associate to work with digital (smartphone-based) and brain imaging (EEG or fMRI) biomarkers for cognitive aging, Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including neurologists, neuropsychologists, neuropathologists, and cognitive neuroscientists. The Alzheimer’s Research Center will develop a research cohort of individuals at high risk for dementia. This cohort will be extensively phenotyped for clinical, cognitive, genetic, neuroimaging, behavioral, digital and blood biomarker measures. The Brain Modulation & Control Lab, in collaboration, collects and analyses neuroimaging and smartphone interaction measures from the cohort. Applicants must have experience working in MATLAB and / or Python and experience working with either EEG or fMRI. Ideal candidates will have a background in Psychology, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or Biomedical Engineering, and an interest in studying the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
The Postdoc will participate in lab meetings, research-in-progress seminars, and presentations at conferences. They will prepare manuscripts based on their research, aid in developing the PI’s grant applications, and will be expected to apply for personal grant funding.
Candidate(s) must hold a PhD or MD degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience or relevant biological sciences.
Candidates in the ABD (all but degree) status will also be considered
Experience with MATLAB and / or Python
Experience working with either EEG or fMRI.
